‘A pure heart makes a good life,’ wrote William Booth, Founder of The Salvation Army, and continued: ‘If you possess this treasure of a pure heart people will be led to God and holiness and Heaven by what they see you are.’
This second edition of Words of Life for 2023 further explores insights into truth, mercy and justice, as six writers from Indonesia seek to show how those moral characteristics of God should be absorbed into pure hearts and then lived out for others to see.
One of the writers also provides a set of Whitsun devotions titled ‘When the Holy Spirit comes’, themed around Pentecost and how Christians attempt to live out the experience of holiness.
