William Booths Theology of Redemption
To comprehend Booths theology is to understand the development of The Salvation Army from its Christian Mission days in 1865 to its organisational structure in 1912. Likewise, to know the theology of The Salvation Army is to know something of the theology of William Booth, for he, greatly influenced by several key people, increasingly provided the theological foundation, the theological legitimacy, and the theological vision for the movement. William Booth committed himself fully to the work of the Christian Mission and The Salvation Army until his Promotion to Glory on August 20, 1912.
